Gary A. Twyman
PRESIDENT
Gary A. Twyman known affectionately as Gary to his family and friends, is a testament to the strength of hard work and resilience. Gary is the Chief Executive Officer and ordained Pastor of the Divine Exchange Ministry, Inc. (DEMI). Recently retired as a federal government employee of twenty-seven (27) years. After graduating high school, Gary pursued a degree in dentistry at a local college, which started his professional journey in a pediatrics dental private practice company, where he quickly earned a reputation for his dedication and innovative ideas. His relentless pursuit of excellence and strong leadership skills allowed him to rise through the ranks, leading to a successful career that spanned over three decades; in addition to obtaining his Doctorate in Religious Philosophy. Beyond, Gary’s professional achievements, his commitment to hard work extended to his community. He volunteered as a mentor, youth leader, and training instructor for inner city at-risk youth, sharing his experiences and encouraging them to strive for their dreams. He believes that hard work is a skill that can be cultivated, and he passionately advocated for education and self-improvement. Finding the woman of his heart’s desire, Gary committed himself to his loving wife and together they both, serve marginalized communities.
Canzada Twyman (Cea)
VICE PRESIDENT
Canzada Twyman (Cea) is an authentic, anointed woman of God, In Love with the Lord. She is joyfully married to one man, a mother, grand and great-grand mother; and a loyal family member and friend to many. She is the Founding Executive Director of the Divine Exchange Ministry, Inc., (DEMI), which is a 501c3 Veteran Owned Community/Faith-Based organization. Cea is a life learner, a woman who has earned a Doctorate in Religious Philosophy, her Master’s in Human Service, and her Bachelor’s in Science from Lincoln University (HBCU). She is a National Training Provider for DEMI Training, Collaboration & Consulting Services, which is an outreach component of DEMI; and a Training Provider for the Living-Works ASIST Education, Suicide Prevention. This Trailblazer is a U. S. Army Veteran, a Humanitarian, Visionary, a Published and Contributing Author. Being flexible and operating in many roles, she is an Inspirational, Motivational Public Speaker, an ordained Pastor, Prophetic Intercessor, and Spiritual Life Coach. She’s been involved in the Human Service/Behavior Health arena with the concentration of addictions for over thirty plus plus years. Cea served in numerous positions, addressing various abuses, misuses, addictions, trauma, and public health issues; serving on various task forces, state and local governing boards, and currently serves as the founder of the SW-Atlanta Women’s Coalition. Canzada Twyman is A Mover, A Shaker, and A True History Maker!
MaNeika T. Edmonds
BOARD SECRETARY
MaNeika T. Edmonds is a confident young woman and a dedicated small business owner and federal government employee. MaNeika has a rich and genuine community service background, having worked for a nonprofit organization in Washington, DC, focusing on supporting at-risk young adults and youth. MaNeika demonstrates a strong commitment to social impact and community/workforce development. She is a proud graduate of Eastern Senior High School, and she continues to pursue further studies in business administration and fashion, reflecting a diverse skill set and a creative flair. Beyond professional pursuits, MaNeika enjoys family, skating, shopping, and engaging with the arts, embracing a well-rounded and dynamic lifestyle.
Tynetta Ali
FINANCE OFFICER
is a native of Washington, D.C. and an alumna of Morgan State University, Earl G. Graves School of Business and Management. Tynetta is a 25-plus year veteran in the accounting and tax industry, having practiced in the corporate, nonprofit, and entrepreneurial arenas, and was the first woman and youngest person - at age 24 - to serve as Controller of a branch of the Marriott Corporation.
David Jason Ross
BOARD OF DIRECTOR MEMBER
David Jason Ross is the Chief of Staff for the District of Columbia Department of Human Services (DHS), where he oversees policy, communications, constituent services, community relations, and office management. Since 2021, he has driven constituent engagement, operational improvements, and policy advancements to better serve DC residents. Previously, he led workforce and training programs as Deputy Administrator for the Division of Customer Workforce Employment and Training, supporting TANF and SNAP recipients with employment, education, and social services. David’s experience includes service as an Urban Youth Development Volunteer in Jamaica with the Peace Corps, where he implemented violence prevention programs, and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Maryland. He holds dual BAs in Political Science and African American Studies from San Jose State University, an MS in Administration with a focus on Leadership and Organizational Development from Trinity Washington University, and certifications in public management and procurement. A member of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators and the T.E.A.C.H. D.C. Advisory Committee, David is a proud Ward 7 resident, committed to community development in Washington, DC.
